From the courts to the short shorts, from the zone-reads to the nosebleeds, from the fanatics to the HGH addicts, sports rarely makes any sense.

Cramping Nadal's style
As Rafael Nadal finished up a grueling match against David Nalbandian in this week's US Open, Nadal headed to a press conference to discuss his three set victory. The reporters then watched as Nadal squirmed and writhed in pain due to cramps. This video shows that tennis can also be physically demanding, as much so as that of many other sports. It also shows how reporters like to keep flashing their cameras while a player obviously in pain struggles to stay composed.

its understandable for reporters do keep shooting and filming, because that what they do and will always continue to do, but poor job on Nadal. His behavior and lack of composure shows mental and physical weakness, and now the world and future opponents will of course criticize.
ReplyDeleteAnyone who has ever suffered a cramp will cringe at this video. You see it all the time in football, where a player goes down and appears to be in so much pain that fans think that their best player could be out for the season, only for him to come back on minutes later after some stretching and water. It's just unfortunate it happened during a press conference.
